Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights, schedule as assigned, 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and feeding
Provide compassionate bedside care and support to promote patient comfort
Monitor and report changes in patient condition to RN or charge nurse promptly
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean patient environment
Collaborate with the care team to ensure continuity and quality of care

Qualifications

Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in New Mexico or eligibility to obtain
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass background check and any required health screenings
Strong communication skills and a patient-focused attitude
Comfortable with night shift responsibilities and working independently as needed
Previous experience in long-term care or similar setting is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Skilled in basic patient care and assistance with ADLs
Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling
Ability to observe, record, and report patient changes accurately
Good time management and ability to prioritize patient needs
Team player with strong interpersonal and communication skills
Familiarity with electronic charting or willingness to learn
