Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform high-quality diagnostic imaging exams using X-ray and CT modalities with attention to image acquisition and patient comfort
• Operate C-arm and provide Operating Room imaging support following department protocols
• Adhere to radiation safety (ALARA) and manufacturer recommendations for safe equipment operation
• Verify orders, identify patients using two identifiers, obtain informed consent, and document pertinent medical history
• Maintain accurate EHR documentation, including procedure documentation and charging for supplies
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate service calls when outside maintenance is required
• Educate patients about procedures, manage expectations, and provide compassionate care
• Assist with cross-training, mentoring, and clerical tasks as needed to support smooth clinic operations
• Manage inventory, order supplies, and contribute to departmental quality and compliance initiatives

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT registration in Radiology (R) required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or obtain within 90 days of hire
• Legally authorized to work in the United States and able to pass background check and pre-employment drug screen
• Preferred: prior experience as a practicing Radiologic Technologist and cross-training in CT, MRI, DEXA, or Mammography
• Preferred experience with electronic imaging systems such as PACS and RIS/HIS

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
• ARRT (R) certification required; BLS required or must be obtained within 90 days

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong knowledge of image acquisition techniques and quality control
• Proven commitment to patient safety, identification, and informed consent processes
• Experience with fluoroscopy, C-arm operation, and OR imaging workflow
• Familiarity with radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
• Proficient with EHR documentation and imaging systems (PACS, RIS/HIS)
• Ability to troubleshoot equipment, follow protocols, and work independently with good judgment
• Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration
