Candidate Pay Rate: $84 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive medication order entry, verification, and medication checking to ensure patient safety
• Dispense medications accurately and efficiently while maintaining strict adherence to pharmacy law
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, and technicians to optimize medication therapy across age groups
• Rotate into ambulatory roles such as anticoagulation clinic or oncology services when scheduled
• Educate patients and caregivers on medication use and monitor therapy outcomes
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and support safe medication practices across the facility

Qualifications

• Current Pennsylvania pharmacist license OR eligible for reciprocation/transfer within 90 days
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy required; Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred
• Recent hospital pharmacy experience preferred — you’ll hit the ground running
• Pharmacy residency and advanced practice certifications are a plus for ambulatory rotations
• BLS certification required if assigned to the Anticoagulation Clinic (AHA Healthcare Provider BLS, renew every two years)
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy (required)
• Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Deep familiarity with state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations
• Proven ability in medication verification, checking, and dispensing
• Experience in inpatient pharmacy workflows and ambulatory care services
• Comfort managing diverse patient populations from pediatrics to geriatrics
• Knowledge of anticoagulation and oncology clinic workflows preferred
• Ability to interact positively with providers, nurses, pharmacy technicians, and medical reps
