Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Progressive Care Unit patients
Monitor and interpret telemetry and vital signs, proactively addressing changes in condition
Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and execute patient care plans
Document patient care, interventions, and responses in the electronic health record
Respond to emergencies and assist with procedures as needed
Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and discharge planning

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse license in Kentucky or eligible compact license
BLS certification required, ACLS preferred
Experience caring for progressive care or step-down patients preferred; orientation provided
Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Telemetry monitoring and cardiac rhythm interpretation
IV therapy and safe medication administration
Thorough patient assessment and care prioritization
Electronic health record documentation (EHR) proficiency
Effective communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment
Time management and ability to handle multiple priorities
