Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess patients and quickly synthesize clinical information to guide safe care
• Plan individualized care for labor, delivery and mother-baby couplet patients
• Implement evidence-based interventions and monitor maternal-newborn responses
• Evaluate patient progress and adjust care plans to optimize outcomes
• Provide clinical leadership to the patient care team during your shift
• Collaborate with nursery and interdisciplinary teams to ensure smooth transitions
• Document care accurately in Cerner EMR and maintain required records

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license (Nursys verification required)
• Minimum 2+ years of LDRP (labor, delivery & mother-baby couplet) experience
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NRP certification (required)
• STABLE certification and Level II Nursery experience preferred
• Submission of work history, current skills checklist (within 1 year), and 2 supervisory reference forms with dates
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility (per facility policy)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong patient assessment and clinical decision-making in labor/delivery care
• Care planning, implementation and evaluation for mother-baby couplets
• Clinical leadership and team coordination during the assigned shift
• Experience with Cerner EMR documentation
• Familiarity with Level II Nursery processes and STABLE protocols (preferred)
