Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered labor and delivery nursing care for birthing people
• Deliver couplet care for postpartum mothers and their infants (babies 32 weeks and up)
• Support high-volume delivery periods and help the team maintain excellent patient experiences
• Respond to neonatal resuscitation events and stabilize newborns using NRP and STABLE protocols
• Participate in OR and PACU support as needed for obstetric procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to apply evidence-based practices and improve outcomes
• Accurately document patient care and maintain compliance with hospital policies
• Participate in rotating weekend schedules and periodic call shifts to ensure continuous coverage

Qualifications

• Current Colorado RN license or compact privilege to practice in Colorado
• AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NRP and STABLE certifications required
• Proof of flu vaccine or agreement to obtain by 10/31/25
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, postpartum couplet care; OR/PACU experience preferred
• Comfort working in high-volume delivery settings (60-80+ deliveries/month)
• Team-player attitude with commitment to evidence-based practice and excellent communication
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts, rotating weekends, and participate in call rotation

Knowledge & Skills

• Neonatal resuscitation (NRP) and stabilization (STABLE)
• ACLS and BLS life support protocols
• Couplet care and postpartum nursing
• Management of high-volume labor and delivery workflow
• Experience in OR and PACU settings for obstetric cases
• Strong clinical judgement, prioritization, and teamwork skills
• Clear documentation and adherence to patient-centered practices
