Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $43 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality critical care to adult ICU patients
Continuously monitor and assess patient condition, intervene as needed
Administer medications, infusions, and advanced therapies safely and accurately
Operate and manage ventilators and hemodynamic support devices per unit protocols
Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the interdisciplinary team to optimize care plans
Document patient care thoroughly and communicate changes in condition clearly during handoffs
Respond rapidly to emergencies and participate in resuscitation and rapid response events

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama (or compact license where applicable)
ICU or critical care experience preferred
Current BLS certification; ACLS preferred or required by facility
Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to prioritize in high-acuity settings
Demonstrated ability to work effectively on a collaborative care team

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Critical care assessment and monitoring
Ventilator management and respiratory support understanding
Hemodynamic monitoring and titration of vasoactive medications
Strong clinical judgment, triage, and prioritization skills
Clear communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
