Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to residents of the facility
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care thoroughly
• Perform regular patient assessments and promptly report changes in condition
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to create and execute care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, medications, and discharge instructions
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance resident outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, state regulations, and documentation standards

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Connecticut or ability to obtain licensure prior to start
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS) preferred if applicable to the unit
• Prior clinical nursing experience preferred; experience in long-term care or skilled nursing is a plus
• Strong communication skills, clinical judgment, and ability to work collaboratively in a team

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring of adult patients
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) and clinical charting
• Infection control, safety protocols, and regulatory compliance
• Time management, prioritization, and effective interdisciplinary communication
