Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting while preserving dignity
• Take and record vital signs, intake/output, and other basic clinical measurements
• Support safe mobility and transfers, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Observe and promptly report changes in resident condition to nursing staff
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in resident charts and logs
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a clean, safe environment
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification in New Mexico (required)
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
• Previous experience as a CNA preferred but new grads with strong clinical skills are encouraged to apply
• Ability to pass background check, drug screen, and any facility-required health screenings
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient-focused attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of a state-approved CNA program and active CNA license

Knowledge & Skills

• Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
• Knowledge of basic clinical observations and vital sign measurement
• Familiarity with infection prevention and safety procedures
• Good charting and documentation practices
• Ability to work well in a team and follow care plans
