Location: Belen, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem (as-needed), 5:00 PM - 5:30 AM, Night shift (overnight coverage)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents during overnight hours
Assist with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, toileting) with dignity and respect
Take and record vital signs and report any changes to nursing staff promptly
Support safe transfers and mobility, using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
Document care accurately and timely in the resident record
Follow infection control procedures and maintain a clean, safe environment
Collaborate with nurses and the care team to deliver consistent, person-centered care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification (required) for your practicing state
Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Comfortable working overnight shifts and providing hands-on care
Strong communication skills and a compassionate bedside manner
Ability to follow care plans and document accurately

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program and current CNA certification

Knowledge & Skills

Assisting with ADLs (bathing, dressing, feeding, toileting)
Taking and recording vital signs and observations
Safe resident transfers and fall prevention basics
Basic infection control and hygiene practices
Clear communication with residents, families, and team members
Time management and dependable shift handoffs
