Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living to residents
• Monitor and record vital signs, intake/output, and other observations accurately
• Assist nursing staff with patient transfers, mobility, and safe positioning
• Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
• Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the care team
• Document care provided clearly and timely in the patient record

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
• Ability to work overnight shifts and availability for per diem coverage
• Demonstrated experience in direct patient care preferred
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Positive communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a care team
• Proof of work eligibility and any facility-required background checks/health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Current CNA certification (required)

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong understanding of basic patient care and body mechanics
• Skilled in taking and recording vital signs and observing clinical changes
• Knowledge of infection prevention and safe patient handling techniques
• Good documentation practices and attention to detail
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow care plans and directions from licensed nursing staff
