Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on therapeutic interventions under OT supervision to help residents regain independence
• Assist with patient evaluations and implement treatment plans tailored to individual goals
• Document patient progress accurately and promptly to support quality care and continuity
• Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and family members to ensure coordinated care
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive techniques, home strategies, and safety
• Maintain equipment and follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients

Qualifications

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) — required
• Credentialing/registration as required for practice in Wyoming (or eligibility to obtain)
• Comfortable working day shifts and delivering hands-on resident care
• Strong documentation skills and ability to follow treatment plans
• Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
• Reliable, professional, and committed to resident-centered care

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and adaptive equipment for daily living
• Proficiency in patient mobility and transfer assistance
• Skilled in activity-based interventions and ADL training
• Accurate clinical documentation and charting practices
• Good clinical judgement, safety awareness, and infection control
• Effective communication with interdisciplinary team and families
