Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct patient care including bathing, dressing, and mobility assistance
Assist nursing staff with vital signs, documentation, and basic clinical tasks
Support residents' activities of daily living while promoting dignity and independence
Communicate changes in patient condition promptly to the nursing team
Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control procedures
Build rapport with residents and families to deliver person-centered care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification valid in Connecticut (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification (preferred or obtain upon hire)
Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate care to older adults
Strong communication skills and a teamwork mindset
Background check and any facility-specific onboarding requirements completed

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Completed state-approved CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

Fundamentals of patient hygiene and mobility assistance
Basic vital signs measurement and documentation
Understanding of infection prevention and safe patient handling
Ability to follow care plans and report observations clearly
Compassionate customer-service approach when interacting with residents and families
