Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Days vary (Per Diem/as-needed), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM (Night shift)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents including bathing, dressing, toileting and mobility assistance
Monitor and report changes in patients’ conditions to the nursing team promptly
Assist with feeding and ensure residents' nutritional needs are met during shifts
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of care and observations
Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe, clean environment
Support resident dignity and independence while building trusting relationships

Qualifications

Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (required)
Active CNA authorization or ability to obtain CNA credential in New Mexico
Basic life support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willing to obtain
Comfortable working overnight hours and flexible shift patterns
Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Hands-on resident care and personal hygiene assistance
Vital signs measurement and basic patient observation
Safe patient transfer and mobility support techniques
Clear, compassionate communication with residents and families
Basic documentation and charting skills
Knowledge of infection prevention and safety protocols
