Location: Rio Rancho, NM

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Per diem nights (schedule varies), 6:00 PM - 6:30 AM, Night shift (overnight)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $18 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assist residents with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) to preserve dignity and comfort
Monitor and record vital signs and report changes to the care team promptly
Provide safe mobility assistance and transfers, using proper body mechanics
Maintain clear, timely documentation of resident status and care provided
Support a clean, safe environment by following infection control and facility protocols
Collaborate with nurses and multidisciplinary team members to deliver compassionate care

Qualifications

Current CNA certification or state-recognized nursing assistant credential
Valid CNA license or eligibility to obtain licensure for New Mexico
Comfortable working overnight per diem shifts and flexible scheduling
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
Ability to perform physical aspects of resident care safely

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; completion of an accredited CNA training program required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care and personal hygiene assistance
Accurate vital signs measurement and observation
Safe transfer and mobility support techniques
Clear documentation and reporting practices
Infection prevention and control principles
Compassionate communication with residents and families
