Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Measure and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the nursing team promptly
• Support safe mobility and transfers using proper body mechanics and assistive devices
• Maintain a clean, comfortable, and safe environment for residents, including bed-making and room tidying
• Document care accurately and timely, contributing to clear communication among the care team
• Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful, person-centered interactions
• Participate in team huddles and care planning to help deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in Pennsylvania (or eligible to obtain state certification)
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program
• CPR/BLS certification preferred or ability to obtain promptly
• Pass required background checks, TB screening, and immunization requirements
• Dependable, compassionate attitude with strong teamwork and communication skills
• Ability to safely perform physical aspects of the role, including standing for long periods and assisting with patient transfers

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an approved CNA training program and current CNA certification in Pennsylvania

Knowledge & Skills

• Fundamentals of resident-centered care and ADLs
• Infection control practices and proper PPE use
• Basic vital sign measurement and recognition of changes in condition
• Safe transfer and mobility assistance techniques
• Clear documentation and effective communication with clinical staff and families
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
