Location: Gettysburg, PA

Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: Varies (per diem), any day of the week, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, Evening/Night shift

Hours per Week: 40

Candidate Pay Rate: $22 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, hands-on care to residents, assisting with daily living activities
Monitor and record vital signs, reporting changes to the nursing team promptly
Assist with safe transfers, mobility, and positioning to promote resident comfort
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the patient record
Support infection control and safety protocols to protect residents and staff
Collaborate with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to deliver person-centered care
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through respectful communication

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (required)
Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass facility background and health screenings as required
Strong communication and teamwork skills with a resident-first attitude
Flexible availability to cover per diem evening shifts
Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required

Knowledge & Skills

Basic clinical skills: vital signs, ADL assistance, safe resident handling
Accurate documentation and charting practices
Familiarity with infection control and patient safety standards
Empathy, patience, and strong interpersonal skills
Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
