Roles & Responsibilities

• Greet and check in patients with warmth and professionalism
• Obtain and record vital signs, medical histories, and current medications
• Prepare exam rooms and ensure equipment and supplies are ready
• Assist clinicians during ambulatory exams and minor procedures
• Perform routine clinical tasks such as specimen collection and point of care testing
• Document patient encounters accurately in the electronic health record
• Communicate clearly with patients and the care team to support smooth clinic flow
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant certification or diploma preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must obtain upon hire
• Experience in ambulatory or outpatient settings is a plus
• Strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate compassionately
• Current immunizations and ability to pass background and drug screening as required
• Ability to work reliably for per diem AM shifts in Spokane, WA

Education

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Completion of a Medical Assistant program or certificate preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient with taking and recording vital signs and basic clinical assessments
• Comfortable with electronic health record documentation
• Phlebotomy and specimen handling skills are a plus
• Knowledge of HIPAA, infection control, and standard clinical protocols
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinic
• Strong interpersonal skills and professional bedside manner
