Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality respiratory care and airway management for patients
Administer and monitor ventilator support and oxygen therapy interventions
Perform respiratory assessments and interpret arterial blood gases
Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and the care team to optimize patient outcomes
Document treatments, progress, and clinical findings accurately in the medical record
Participate in orientation and ongoing education to maintain clinical excellence

Qualifications

Active Respiratory Therapist credential (CRT or RRT) or eligibility to obtain one
Missouri state license or eligibility to obtain licensure in Missouri
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS or PALS preferred or encouraged
Clinical experience in respiratory care preferred; new grads with strong clinical training welcomed
Ability to pass facility onboarding/orientation and required screenings

Education

Associate’s degree in Respiratory Therapy or equivalent (Bachelor’s preferred)

Knowledge & Skills

Ventilator management and respiratory equipment operation
Arterial blood gas (ABG) interpretation and respiratory assessment skills
Oxygen delivery methods, aerosol therapy, and airway clearance techniques
Strong patient communication and interdisciplinary collaboration
Comfortable with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
