Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, patient-centered emergency nursing care in the ED
- Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
- Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocols
- Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care
- Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely
- Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and follow-up plans
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse license in New Hampshire or appropriate compact licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or encouraged
- Previous emergency department or acute care experience preferred
- Current CPR certification and ability to meet facility onboarding requirements
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Triage principles and emergency assessment skills
- IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care
- Cardiac rhythm recognition and basic ECG interpretation
- Strong critical thinking and rapid decision-making under pressure
- Clear communication with patients, families, and the care team
- Ability to document effectively in electronic medical records
