Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care for behavioral health populations
Conduct thorough assessments and contribute to individualized care plans
Administer medications safely and monitor patient responses
Use therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques to support patient safety
Collaborate closely with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate treatment and discharge planning
Document care accurately and timely in the electronic health record
Participate in orientation, training, and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire, or compact RN licensure where applicable
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; behavioral health certifications a plus
Experience in behavioral health or psychiatric nursing preferred
Comfortable working 12.5-hour clinical shifts and participating in orientation
Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor's of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Behavioral health assessment and crisis intervention
Medication administration and monitoring
Therapeutic communication and de-escalation strategies
Documentation and electronic health record (EHR) proficiency
Care coordination and multidisciplinary collaboration
Patient safety practices and risk management
