Roles & Responsibilities

Provide timely, compassionate emergency nursing care to a diverse patient population
Assess, triage, and prioritize patients based on clinical need
Administer medications, treatments, and procedures per protocol
Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient plans
Document patient care accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
Respond quickly to changes in patient condition and escalate when appropriate
Participate in department quality improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or eligibility to obtain one
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Experience working in an Emergency Department or high-acuity setting is strongly desired
Strong clinical assessment, triage, and critical thinking skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Associate Degree in Nursing or BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency nursing assessment and triage
IV therapy, medication administration, and basic emergency procedures
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate clinical documentation
Ability to remain calm and decisive in high-pressure situations
Prioritization and time-management in a fast-paced environment
