Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and compassionately in a fast-paced ED
Initiate and manage emergency interventions and stabilize patients
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document care in the EHR
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the care team to create and execute care plans
Provide patient and family education with empathy and clear communication
Respond to emergencies and codes with calm, decisive action
Maintain accurate, timely documentation and handoffs to ensure continuity of care

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure — ability to practice in Hawaii required
Experience in Emergency Department nursing preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
Strong clinical judgment, ability to prioritize, and comfort in high-acuity settings
Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Education

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)

Knowledge & Skills

Emergency assessment and triage expertise
IV therapy, medication administration, and wound care skills
Proficiency with electronic health record documentation
Calm, rapid decision-making under pressure
Patient/family education and clear interdisciplinary communication
