Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on personal care to residents, helping with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
• Assist with safe transfers and mobility support, promoting independence and dignity
• Monitor and record vital signs and report changes in condition to nursing staff promptly
• Support mealtime assistance and feeding as needed, ensuring proper nutrition and hydration
• Maintain accurate resident documentation and communicate effectively with the care team
• Follow infection control protocols and facility policies to maintain a safe environment
• Build positive, respectful relationships with residents and families to enhance quality of life

Qualifications

• Current CNA certification (Pennsylvania) or completion of an accredited CNA program
• CPR/basic life support certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable providing hands-on resident care and assisting with mobility needs
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
• Ability to pass background checks and required facility screenings
• Previous experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or similar settings is a plus

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and state certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic nursing terminology and resident care principles
• Skill in taking and recording vital signs accurately
• Ability to follow care plans and document observations clearly
• Understanding of infection control practices and patient safety
• Compassionate bedside manner and strong interpersonal skills
• Time management and the ability to prioritize resident needs
