Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care and assistance with activities of daily living
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding when needed
• Measure and record vital signs accurately and report changes to the nursing team
• Support safe patient mobility and transfers using proper techniques
• Maintain clear, timely documentation of care and patient status
• Follow infection control and safety protocols to protect patients and staff
• Collaborate with nurses and other caregivers to deliver consistent, patient-centered care
• Create a comforting, respectful environment that preserves patient dignity

Qualifications

• Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification (or equivalent) — required
• Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania or ability to obtain state certification
• Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification preferred or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable assisting with patient care tasks and working as part of a team
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient needs
• Reliable, punctual, and able to pass required background and health screenings

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• Completion of an accredited CNA training program and certification

Knowledge & Skills

• Hands-on experience with activities of daily living and patient hygiene
• Accurate vital sign measurement and basic clinical observation skills
• Knowledge of infection control, safety procedures, and HIPAA principles
• Ability to follow care plans and communicate changes effectively to nurses
• Good time management, organization, and teamwork skills
• Empathy, patience, and professionalism when interacting with patients and families
