Candidate Pay Rate: $49 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Assess patient condition, prioritize needs, and implement appropriate interventions
Administer medications and treatments accurately and document interventions thoroughly
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and update patient plans of care
Monitor patient progress and escalate changes in condition to providers in a timely manner
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments and discharge plans
Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to improve patient outcomes

Qualifications

Active RN license in New Hampshire or eligible to obtain state licensure
Clinical experience in Medical-Surgical nursing preferred
BLS certification required; ACLS and other specialty certifications a plus
Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts and participate in orientation
Strong communication, critical thinking and teamwork skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid medical-surgical assessment and intervention skills
Familiarity with medication administration and documentation best practices
Comfort with electronic health record systems and accurate charting
Ability to prioritize, multitask and manage a varied patient load
Skilled at patient and family education with a compassionate bedside manner
