Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate personal care to older adults, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) to promote comfort and dignity
• Support mobility and safe transfers, using correct body mechanics and equipment
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and promptly report observations to nursing staff
• Accurately document care provided and communicate clearly with the care team
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for residents and families

Qualifications

• GNA certification or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous experience caring for geriatric or long-term care residents is a plus
• Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willing to obtain
• Ability to pass background check and drug screening as required
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude

Education

• High school diploma or GED required; completion of a GNA or nursing assistant program preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Understanding of geriatric care principles and dignity-centered approaches
• Comfortable assisting with transfers, mobility, and basic ADLs
• Basic vital signs measurement and observation skills
• Familiarity with infection control and safety procedures
• Reliable time management, documentation, and teamwork skills
