Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide direct, compassionate patient care in the Emergency Department with a focus on rapid assessment and stabilization
• Perform triage, prioritize care needs, and coordinate timely interventions
• Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly in the electronic medical record
• Respond to emergency situations calmly and effectively, participating in resuscitation and critical care procedures when needed
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge instructions to support recovery and prevent readmission

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred or willing to obtain
• Prior emergency department nursing experience preferred
• Demonstrated ability to work 12.5-hour shift blocks and handle high-acuity patients
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and emergency assessment skills
• Intravenous therapy and medication administration expertise
• Proficiency with electronic medical records and clinical documentation
• Ability to manage multiple high-acuity patients and prioritize care
• Strong clinical judgment, situational awareness, and teamwork mindset
• Comfort with urgent procedures and resuscitation protocols
