Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate basic nursing care to residents with dignity and respect
Assist with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility
Monitor and report changes in resident condition to the nursing team promptly
Help maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment for residents
Support documentation and charting to ensure accurate resident records
Collaborate with nurses and facility staff to deliver consistent, high-quality care

Qualifications

Active CNA certification (or ability to obtain) — state certification required
Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing environment is a plus
Current basic life support (BLS) preferred or willingness to obtain
Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings
Strong communication skills and a friendly, patient-centered approach

Education

High school diploma or equivalent; completed state-approved CNA training program

Knowledge & Skills

Understanding of patient safety and infection control practices
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
Ability to follow care plans and document observations accurately
Team-oriented mindset with good interpersonal skills
Basic charting and time-management abilities
