Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, evidence-based nursing care to med/surg and pediatric patients
• Perform thorough assessments, document findings, and communicate changes to the care team
• Administer medications and treatments safely and according to protocol
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and update individualized care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and health promotion
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records and handoffs
• Participate in orientation and unit-specific training to ensure excellent patient care

Qualifications

• Current, active Registered Nurse (RN) license — ability to practice in Missouri required
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred or willing to obtain
• Experience or demonstrated interest in Med/Surg and pediatric care
• Strong clinical judgment, effective communication, and teamwork skills
• Ability to complete facility orientation prior to start

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Med/Surg clinical knowledge and pediatric care principles
• Patient assessment and triage skills
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems
• Effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
• Time management, prioritization, and safe clinical decision-making
