Roles & Responsibilities

• Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately to prioritize care
• Provide direct emergency nursing care including interventions, medication administration, and monitoring
• Stabilize and manage acute and critical conditions in the ED setting
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the interdisciplinary team to deliver coordinated care
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes clearly and timely in the medical record
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, and next steps for care
• Participate in quality improvement and safety initiatives to enhance patient outcomes

Qualifications

• Current RN license in New Hampshire or compact RN license eligible
• Previous Emergency Department (ED/ER) nursing experience preferred
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) recommended
• Strong assessment, triage, and critical thinking abilities
• Current certifications and clear clinical competencies as required by the facility

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
• Completion of required facility orientation and competencies

Knowledge & Skills

• Triage and rapid assessment in emergency settings
• Cardiac monitoring and interpretation
• IV therapy, medication administration, and emergency procedures
• Effective communication with patients, families, and the care team
• Accurate clinical documentation and familiarity with electronic medical records
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize multiple competing demands
