Contract Type: Per-Diem

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care to Med/Surg patients
Administer medications and treatments safely and document accurately
Perform thorough patient assessments and respond promptly to changes in condition
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Maintain accurate clinical documentation and adhere to facility policies and safety protocols
Support unit flow by assisting with admissions, discharges, and transfers

Qualifications

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Louisiana required
Med/Surg clinical experience preferred
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS and other certifications a plus
Demonstrated ability to prioritize, multitask, and work effectively in a team
Strong communication and patient education skills

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required or equivalent; BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Solid Med/Surg nursing knowledge and clinical judgment
Proficiency with medication administration and IV therapy
Comfortable with patient assessment, wound care, and post-op care
Familiarity with electronic medical records and documentation best practices
Effective teamwork, time management, and critical thinking skills
