Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Monitor and interpret patient vital signs and advanced hemodynamic data
• Administer medications and titrate drips safely according to orders
• Operate and manage ventilators and other life support equipment
• Respond promptly to emergent situations and participate in resuscitation when needed
• Collaborate closely with physicians and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans
• Document patient care and clinical changes accurately and timely
• Coach and educate patients and families about condition, treatment, and follow-up needs

Qualifications

• Current RN license in Louisiana (or eligible to obtain) required
• Active BLS certification required; ACLS certification strongly preferred
• Prior ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred
• Comfort with 12-hour shift schedules and the ability to manage high-acuity patients
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Education

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred
• Required professional licensure and certifications as noted

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of critical care assessment and interventions
• Experience with ventilator management and respiratory support
• Familiarity with hemodynamic monitoring and vasoactive medications
• Skill in IV therapy, medication administration, and titration
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and clinical documentation
• Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
