Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care
Location: Orwigsburg, PA
Start Date: 04-09-2026
Contract Type: Per-Diem
Shift Type: 8-hour shift (start/end times and specific days to be confirmed with scheduling team)
Hours per Week: 40
Candidate Pay Rate: $20 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct patient care and assist residents with activities of daily living
- Assist with bathing, dressing, feeding, mobility and toileting while maintaining dignity
- Measure and record vital signs and observe residents for changes in condition
- Document care accurately and timely in resident records
- Communicate effectively with nurses, families and the interdisciplinary care team
- Maintain a clean, safe environment and follow infection control protocols
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification in Pennsylvania (required)
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- Ability to pass background check, drug screen and required immunizations
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work collaboratively with a care team
- Comfortable providing hands-on care and following facility policies
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Strong knowledge of basic patient care and safety practices
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and mobility support
- Basic vital sign measurement and observation skills
- Clear, compassionate communication with residents and team members
- Good time management and ability to prioritize resident needs
