Candidate Pay Rate: $47 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide high-quality, patient-centered nursing care for Neuro Stepdown (SDU) patients
Monitor and interpret neuro assessments and telemetry to detect changes in condition
Administer medications and IV therapies safely and according to policy
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans
Document patient care accurately and timely in the medical record
Participate in unit-based performance improvement and safety initiatives

Qualifications

Active RN license (required)
Experience or interest in Neuro Stepdown / SDU care (preferred)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; ACLS preferred or obtainable
Comfort with telemetry monitoring and neuro-focused assessments
Ability to work 12.5-hour clinical shifts and function effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset

Knowledge & Skills

Neuro patient assessment and focused neurological exams
Telemetry monitoring and interpretation
IV therapy and medication administration best practices
Critical thinking and rapid recognition of patient deterioration
Clear clinical documentation and handoff communication
Teamwork and interdisciplinary collaboration
