Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the Med/Surg unit
- Perform thorough assessments and develop individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments safely and accurately
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
- Document care clearly and timely in the electronic health record
- Educate patients and families to support recovery and discharge planning
- Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate appropriately
Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Hampshire or compact RN license where applicable
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification; advanced certifications a plus
- Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg nursing; comfortable with 12.5-hour shifts
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to patient care
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
Education
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; BSN preferred
Knowledge & Skills
- Solid understanding of Med/Surg patient assessment and interventions
- Medication administration and IV therapy skills
- Familiarity with electronic health records and documentation best practices
- Basic clinical judgment, critical thinking, and delegation skills
- Patient education and discharge planning experience
