Roles & Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic radiographic exams accurately and compassionately
• Position patients and use imaging equipment to capture high-quality diagnostic images
• Operate and troubleshoot radiology equipment while following manufacturer and facility protocols
• Ensure patient safety by applying radiation safety principles and infection control practices
• Document procedures and maintain accurate patient records in the electronic medical record
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and the care team to support timely diagnosis and treatment
• Maintain a clean, organized imaging environment and report equipment issues promptly

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist program
• ARRT certification required or registry-eligible (preferred)
• State licensure in Louisiana or ability to obtain licensure before start
• BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain upon hire
• Strong patient care skills and ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

Education

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program (Associate or Certificate)
• ARRT certification required or registry-eligible

Knowledge & Skills

• Proficient in radiographic technique and patient positioning
• Familiarity with radiation safety practices and ALARA principles
• Experience operating digital imaging systems and PACS workflows
• Comfortable documenting in electronic medical records
• Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and patient-focused care
• Strong interpersonal skills for working with diverse patient populations and care teams
