Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
Monitor and document resident condition and care provided accurately and promptly
Assist with mobility, transfers and safe use of equipment to protect residents and staff
Support nursing staff with timely communication of changes in patient status
Maintain a clean, safe and respectful environment for residents
Build trusting relationships with residents and their families through patient-centered interactions

Qualifications

Current CNA certification valid in Pennsylvania (required)
CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
Comfortable assisting with ADLs and working as part of a multidisciplinary care team
Strong communication and compassionate bedside manner
Ability to pass any required background checks and health screenings

Education

High school diploma or GED preferred
Completion of an accredited CNA program and current state certification

Knowledge & Skills

Basic patient care skills including bathing, grooming and feeding
Vital signs monitoring and documentation
Safe transfer and mobility techniques
Familiarity with resident rights, privacy and dignity standards
Teamwork, time management and observational skills to spot changes in condition
