Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 12.5-hour shifts (start/end times to be confirmed by facility); rotating 12.5-hour schedule (may include days and nights)

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Assess and triage patients quickly and accurately in the emergency setting
Provide compassionate, evidence-based care for acute and critical conditions
Administer medications and treatments safely and document thoroughly
Collaborate with physicians, techs, and support staff to coordinate patient flow
Monitor patient status, interpret clinical data, and escalate concerns promptly
Educate patients and families on care plans, follow-up, and discharge instructions
Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and maintain a safe environment

Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Hawaii or ability to obtain prior to start
Emergency Department (ED/ER) experience preferred; new grads with strong ER training welcome to apply
Current BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred or willing to obtain
Comfort working 12.5-hour shifts in a fast-paced emergency environment
Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication, and teamwork mindset

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred

Knowledge & Skills

Triage and emergency assessment skills
IV therapy, medication administration, and acute care interventions
Familiarity with electronic medical records and accurate documentation
Ability to prioritize under pressure and manage multiple patients
Strong interpersonal skills for patient/family communication and team collaboration
