Contract Type: Per-Diem

Shift Type: 4-hour shifts (schedule to be determined), orientation required, RN - Med/Surg (Peds)

Candidate Pay Rate: $59 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide safe, compassionate nursing care to pediatric and med/surg patients
Perform thorough assessments and document patient status accurately
Administer medications and treatments according to facility policies
Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate care
Educate patients and families with clarity and empathy
Respond promptly to patient needs and escalate concerns as appropriate

Qualifications

Current RN license in good standing (California license preferred)
Experience or strong interest in Med/Surg and Pediatric care
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; pediatric certifications a plus
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
Strong communication and clinical judgment skills
Willingness to complete required orientation and facility onboarding

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
High school diploma or equivalent as minimum education requirement

Knowledge & Skills

Patient assessment and monitoring for med/surg and pediatric populations
Medication administration and safe documentation practices
Familiarity with electronic medical records and charting
Infection control and standard safety protocols
Ability to triage and prioritize patient needs
Teamwork, clear communication, and family-centered care approach
