Respiratory Therapist

Location: Omaha, Nebraska

Start Date: 05-31-2026

End Date: 08-30-2026

Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, team scheduling with weekend requirements every third weekend for days and every other weekend for nights

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $56 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive respiratory care across all patient populations from neonates to geriatrics
Perform EKGs, bedside bronchoscopies, and bedside spirometry with precision and care
Collaborate daily with providers, nurses, and fellow therapists to deliver exceptional patient outcomes
Float throughout the hospital to support diverse patient care areas and build versatile clinical skills
Manage ventilators, BiPAPs, and high-flow oxygen systems while adapting to each patient's unique needs

Qualifications

Current RRT or CRT credential required
BLS and ACLS certifications required
NRP and PALS preferred
Recent Level 1 or Level 2 trauma experience required
Valid driver's license required at time of submittal
Minimum 3 shifts of unit-specific orientation commitment

Knowledge & Skills

Strong time management and adaptability in fast-paced environments
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Willingness to learn and grow across varied patient care levels daily
Proficiency with Drager, Servo I, Carefusion vents, Vision/V60/V30 BiPAPs, and Airvo2 high-flow systems
