Registered Nurse - Telemetry

Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $60 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitor cardiac telemetry and interpret basic strips each shift
- Provide compassionate care for patients with CHF, respiratory issues, GI conditions, diabetes, and post-cath needs
- Support patients recovering from total joint replacements and stroke/TIA events
- Collaborate with charge nurses and house supervisors to deliver excellent outcomes
- Float to East Campus or PCU when qualified to expand your impact
- Document care accurately using Cerner with minimal orientation time
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
- BLS and ACLS certifications required
- Ability to pass dysrhythmia exam with 80 percent score within two attempts
- Experience reading basic telemetry strips
- Some background with CVA, TIA, and total joint replacement patients preferred
- Cerner experience recommended due to one-shift orientation
Knowledge & Skills
- Telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
- Comfort with BiPAP, CPAP, and breathing treatments
- Strong assessment and critical-thinking skills
- Ability to work 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratios
- Team collaboration with nursing assistants at 1:10-15 ratios
