Registered Nurse - PACU
Location: Lakewood, Colorado
Start Date: 06-22-2026
End Date: 09-21-2026
Contract Type: Travel Contract
Shift Type: Variable start times between 7:30 AM - 11:00 AM, primarily covering 11:00 AM - 11:00 PM, with on-call requirements 1 night every 6 weeks including weekends and holidays
Hours per Week: 36
Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery care for surgical patients across ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI specialties
- Monitor and interpret cardiac strips while delivering compassionate post-anesthesia care
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient transitions from OR to recovery
- Support ICU patients recovering in the PACU environment with expert clinical skills
- Maintain accurate documentation using Epic EMR while delivering patient-centered care
Qualifications
- Active RN license in Colorado or compact license
- ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required
- ED or ICU experience strongly preferred
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Ability to respond to call within 1 hour
Knowledge & Skills
- PACU nursing expertise with Phase 1 and Phase 2 recovery skills
- Strong cardiac monitoring and strip interpretation abilities
- Experience with ortho, trauma, cardiac, urology, pulmonary, and GI cases
- Comfortable floating between PACU and surgery center as needed
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
