Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, self-scheduling with 4 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $57 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to ED holds waiting for placement on med/surg/tele units
Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry strips with confidence
Titrate cardiac drips such as Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone per physician orders
Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient transitions
Support med/surg/tele overflow units and both CRMC and MGMC campuses as needed
Assist with vitals, IV starts, and medication administration when helping in the ED

Qualifications

Active RN license in Arizona or compact state
BLS and ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of recent cardiac telemetry experience within the past 6 months
Strong dysrhythmia interpretation skills
Ability to pass RELIAS dysrhythmia exam within 48 hours of offer (2 attempts max)
Comfortable with a PASS/FAIL SIM LAB on day one of orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Cardiac telemetry monitoring and strip interpretation
Cardiac drip titration including Cardizem, Heparin, and Amiodarone
Dysrhythmia recognition and management
Patient assessment and prioritization in a fast-paced environment
Floating comfortably between med/surg/tele and ED overflow units
