Contract Type: Travel Contract

Shift Type: Rotating 12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 6:30 PM and 6:30 PM - 6:30 AM, every other weekend

Hours per Week: 36

Candidate Pay Rate: $64 per hour

Roles & Responsibilities

Provide compassionate care to adult patients with cardiac, vascular, and respiratory conditions
Titrate and manage critical drips including Heparin, Nitro, Dopamine, Cardizem, Amiodarone, and insulin
Monitor and interpret telemetry strips while delivering high-quality patient care
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support patients with dialysis, sepsis, stroke, and post-procedure needs
Float to MedSurg or ICU as needed while maintaining PCU-level patient acuity
Champion patient experience by focusing on responsiveness, clear communication, and a supportive environment

Qualifications

Active RN license in Nebraska or compact state
BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
Competency in managing arterial lines
Minimum one year of recent PCU or telemetry experience preferred
Ability to pass open-book skills exam with 90% or higher during orientation

Knowledge & Skills

Strong cardiac and telemetry monitoring skills
Experience with titratable drips and arterial line management
Excellent communication and adaptability
Comfort working with diverse patient populations
Team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and accept feedback
