Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients in an acute care setting
• Assist patients with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, and mobility
• Monitor and document patient status, including timely recording of vitals and changes
• Support safe patient transfers and maintain proper use of mobility aids
• Communicate effectively with nurses and interdisciplinary team members to ensure continuity of care
• Maintain infection control standards and a clean, safe environment for patients
• Demonstrate professionalism and respect while advocating for patient comfort and dignity

Qualifications

• Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification — current or eligible in Hawaii
• Experience or comfort working in acute care environments is a strong plus
• Ability to work 12.5-hour shifts and provide consistent, focused patient care
• Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
• Current BLS/CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain

Education

• Completion of an accredited CNA program
• High school diploma or GED preferred

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of basic clinical care and patient safety practices
• Skill in assisting with ADLs and safe patient handling techniques
• Comfortable taking and documenting vital signs accurately
• Basic charting and documentation skills with attention to detail
• Ability to work calmly under pressure and prioritize patient needs
