Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, hands-on patient care and support with daily living activities
- Assist nursing team with vital signs, bathing, dressing, and mobility
- Document patient status and care activities accurately and promptly
- Communicate changes in patient condition to the nursing staff in a timely manner
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and dignified environment for residents
- Support admission, transfer, and discharge activities as needed
Qualifications
- Active CNA certification (must meet state requirements)
- Comfortable providing personal care and physical assistance to patients
- Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a care team
- Willingness to complete facility onboarding and any required health screenings
- Dependable, compassionate, and focused on patient dignity and safety
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
Knowledge & Skills
- Basic patient care techniques and infection control practices
- Familiarity with charting and documenting care activities
- Ability to safely assist with transfers and mobility
- Observation skills to notice and report patient changes
- Teamwork and time management in a clinical setting
