Roles & Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, patient-centered nursing care on the rehab unit
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
• Perform thorough assessments and monitor patient progress throughout the shift
• Document care clearly and timely in the patient record to support continuity
• Collaborate with therapists, physicians, and the care team to coordinate rehab plans
• Educate patients and families about care plans, safety, and recovery goals
• Support admission, discharge, and transfer activities to keep patient flow smooth
• Contribute to a positive, professional environment that promotes healing

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (LPN applicants considered where applicable)
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
• Comfortable working in a rehabilitation/acute care environment
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Reliable, professional, and committed to high-quality patient care

Education

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN for RNs)
• High school diploma or equivalent required as foundational education

Knowledge & Skills

• Clinical assessment and monitoring skills with attention to detail
• Medication administration and documentation best practices
• Familiarity with rehab nursing principles and mobility/safety precautions
• Ability to prioritize and manage time during busy, extended shifts
• Clear, respectful communication with patients, families, and staff
• Basic electronic health record navigation and documentation
