Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, resident-centered nursing care to assigned patients
- Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely
- Monitor resident condition and report changes promptly to the interdisciplinary team
- Document care thoroughly in the medical record and maintain regulatory compliance
- Collaborate with nurses, therapists, and support staff to create meaningful care plans
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharge planning when needed
- Support a positive, respectful environment that promotes resident dignity and independence
Qualifications
- Current LPN license (valid in Massachusetts preferred)
- Recent experience in long-term care, rehab, or skilled nursing is a plus
- Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required or willing to obtain
- Comfortable working per diem evening shifts (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM)
- Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude
- Ability to pass facility background checks and required health screenings
Education
- Completion of an accredited LPN program
- High school diploma or equivalent
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of medication administration and nursing fundamentals
- Familiarity with wound care, transfers, and mobility assistance
- Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced care setting
- Good charting and documentation practices
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Customer-service mindset when interacting with residents and families
