Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate direct care to residents, assisting with activities of daily living
- Take and record vital signs accurately and report changes to nursing staff
- Assist with safe transfers, ambulation, and positioning to promote mobility
- Support resident hygiene, grooming, and meal assistance with dignity and respect
- Communicate clearly with the care team and contribute to care plans
- Maintain accurate documentation and follow infection control policies
Qualifications
- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) credential in North Carolina required
- Current CPR/BLS certification preferred or willingness to obtain
- High school diploma or GED (preferred)
- Previous experience in long-term care or acute care settings is a plus
- Must be able to pass background checks and required health screenings
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work standing and lifting as needed
Education
- High school diploma or GED preferred; CNA certification required
Knowledge & Skills
- Comfortable assisting with ADLs and personal care
- Able to take accurate vital signs and observe clinical changes
- Basic charting and documentation skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of infection control and safety practices
- Compassionate approach to resident-centered care
